8월 5일 Disapointed with MSN !!!Friends and Visitors
I'm very disapointed with msn to do this to our blogs !!! Their's nothing more than disliking any site that I have to scroll back and forth to read or work. Look at what they did to our blogs, their disgusting !!! I took time to visit blogs and all blogs are the same, scrolling back and forth almost all the width of the screen.
Their's to many blogs out there that I will not stay here. This is my last post here as I'm done. I will not scroll back and forth like this. It's ugly and unappealing. Even right now I have to scroll back and forth to read what I'm writing. What's even worse, their's nowhere to go to let them know that the blogs are just scrolling like this.
Shame on MSN to force this Windows Live and not giving us a choice, that's bad!
Everyone take good care If you don't like this scrolling back and forth I suggest you move on too!

A great way to live!
A 92-year-old, petite, well-poised and proud man, who is fully dressed each morning by eight o'clock, with his fair fashionably coifed and shaved perfectly, even though he is legally blind, moved to a nursing home today.
His wife of 70 years recently passed away, making the move necessary. After many hours of waiting patiently in the lobby of the nursing home, he smiled sweetly when told his room was ready.
As he maneuvered his walker to the elevator, I provided a visiual description of his tiny room, including the eyelet sheets that had been hung on his window.
"I love it," he stated with the enthusiasm of an eight-year-old having just been presented with a new puppy.
"Mr. Jones, you haven't seen the room; just wait." "That doesn't have anything to do with it, " he replied.
"Happiness is something you decide on ahead of time. Whether I like my room or not doesn't depend on how the furniture is arranged... it's how I arrange my mind. I already decided to love it. "It's a decision I make every morning when I wake up. I have a choice; I can spend the day in bed recounting the difficulty I have with the parts of my body that no longer work, or get out of bed and be thankful for the ones that do.
Each day is a gift, and as long as my eyes open, I'll focus on the new day and all the happy memories I've stored away. Just for this time in my life. Old age is like a bank account. You withdraw from what you've put in.
So, my advice to you would be to deposit a lot of happiness in the bank account of memories! Thank you for your part in filling my Memory bank. I am still depositing."
Remember the five simple rules to be happy: 1. Free your heart from hatred. 2. Free your mind from worries. 3. Live simply. 4. Give more. 5. Expect less.
7월 21일 THOUGHTS OF THE DAY... !I find this very interesting, hope you will too... (1) Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about the things that matter. (2) Give the man/woman in your life the benefit of doubt, rather than assuming the worst. (3) Insanity in individuals is something rare - but, in groups, parties, nations and epochs, it is the rule. (4) As scarce as truth is, the supply has always been in excess of the demand. (5) A banker is a fellow who lends you his umbrella when the sun is shining, but, wants it back the minute it begins to rain. (6) Never stop believing in yourself because at times you may be the only person believing in you. (7) The only easy day was yesterday. (8) When the "Lord" is my light and my salvation, whom do I fear? (9) Speak the truth, but, leave immediately after. (10) When you find the laws most numerous, there you will find also the greatest injustice. (11) To Jaw-Jaw is always better than to War-War. (12) If you don't interrupt some people, you listen to a Monologue. (13) Whenever games are played with us, we must play no games with ourselves. (14) Leadership should be borne out of the understanding of the needs of those who would be affected by it. (15) A lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get its pants on. The Club John works hard and spends two nights each week bowling and plays golf every Saturday. His wife thinks he's pushing himself too hard, so for his birthday she blindfold him and takes him to a local strip club. The doorman at the club greets them and says, "Hey, John! How ya doin?" Once inside his wife removes the blindfold but she's puzzled and asks if he's been to this club before. "Oh no," says John. "He's on my bowling team." When they are seated, a waitress asks John if he'd like his usual and brings over a Budweiser. His wife is becoming increasingly uncomfortable and says, "How did she know that you drink Budweiser?" "I recognize her, she's the waitress from the golf club. I always have a Bud at the end of the first nine, honey. but it does include a free trip around the sun every year. How long a minute is, depends on what side of the bathroom door you're on. Birthdays are good for you; the more you have, the longer you live. Happiness comes through doors you didn't even know you left open. Ever notice that the people who are late are often much jollier than the people who have to wait for them? Most of us go to our grave with our music still inside of us. If shops are lowering prices every day, how come nothing is free yet? You may be only one person in the world, but you may also be the world to one person. Some mistakes are too much fun to only make once. Don't cry because it's over; Smile because it happened. We could learn a lot from crayons: Some are sharp, some are pretty; Some are dull, some have weird names; and all are different colours... But, they all exist very nicely in the same box. Incredible information! Incredible men during an incredible time. Men willing to put their lives and fortunes on the line for what they knew to be true, honest and just... Hero's all !!! What Happened to Them? by Chauncy Gardener Something to think about this 4th of July... Have you ever wondered what happened to the 56 men who signed the Declaration of Independence? Five signers were captured by the British as traitors and tortured before they died. Twelve had their homes ransacked and burned. Two lost their sons serving in the Revolutionary Army, another had two sons captured. Nine of the 56 fought and died from wounds or hardships of the Revolutionary War. They signed and they pledged their lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honor. What kind of men were they? Twenty-four were lawyers and jurists. Eleven were merchants, nine were farmers and large plantation owners; men of means, well educated. But they signed the Declaration of Independence knowing full well that the penalty would be death if they were captured. Carter Braxton of Virginia, a wealthy planter and trader, saw his ships swept from the seas by the British Navy. He sold his home and properties to pay his debts, and died in rags. Thomas McKeam was so hounded by the British that he was forced to move his family almost constantly. He served in the Congress without pay, and his family was kept in hiding. His possessions were taken from him, and poverty was his reward. Vandals or soldiers looted the properties of Dillery, Hall, Clymer, Walton, Gwinnett, Heyward, Ruttledge, and Middleton. At the battle of Yorktown, Thomas Nelson, Jr., noted that the British General Cornwallis had taken over the Nelson home for his headquarters. He quietly urged General George Washington to open fire. The home was destroyed, and Nelson died bankrupt. Francis Lewis had his home and properties destroyed. The enemy jailed his wife, and she died within a few months. John Hart was driven from his wife's bedside as she was dying. Their 13 children fled for their lives. His fields and his gristmill were laid to waste. For more than a year, he lived in forests and caves, returning home to find his wife dead and his children vanished. A few weeks later, he died from exhaustion and a broken heart. Norris and Livingston suffered similar fates. Such were the stories and sacrifices of the American Revolution. These were not wild-eyed, rabble-rousing ruffians. They were soft-spoken men of means and education. They had security, but they valued liberty more. Standing tall, straight, and unwavering, they pledged: "For the support of this declaration, with firm reliance on the protection of the divine providence, we mutually pledge to each other, our lives, our fortunes, and our sacred honor." They gave you and me a free and independent America. The history books never told you a lot about what happened in the Revolutionary War. We didn't fight just the British. We were British subjects at that time and we fought our own government! Some of us take these liberties so much for granted, but we shouldn't. So, take a few minutes while enjoying your 4th of July Holiday and silently thank these patriots. It's not much to ask for the price they paid. Remember: Freedom is never free! It's time we get the word out that patriotism is NOT a sin, and the Fourth of July has more to it than beer, picnics, and baseball games. -=- Such brave men they were!
